How to play
You are the only waiter at みんな食堂. Customers speak Japanese; you have to understand what they want and serve them before they lose patience.
Serving customers
- Tap a customer's card to select them. The selected card has a blue border.
- Read (or listen to) what the customer says, then tap menu items to put them on the tray. Tap an item twice for two portions.
- Tap Serve. The right items in the right amounts earn money; anything missing, extra or wrong counts as a mistake.
- Customers asking a question (cards labeled “Question”) don't need the tray: pick the answer inside their card.
Tapped the wrong item? Tap it on the tray to remove one, or tap Clear to start over.
Money, combos and lives
- Money equals the order value, plus a bonus for serving quickly.
- Your combo rises by ×0.25 for every correct serve, up to ×3. One mistake resets it to ×1.
- Lives: you have 3. A wrong order or a customer walking out costs one. Lose all three and the shop closes.
- Finish a day without a single mistake to win a life back.
- Turning on romaji or the translation makes things easier, but you only earn 50%.

Tips for a high score
- Learn the ひとつ〜いつつ counters and price readings on the Vocabulary page.
- Serve the customer with the shortest patience bar first, even if their order is harder.
- For いちばん やすい もの, remember the cheapest item (ジュース) and the most expensive (すし).
- Turn romaji off early. Reading kana is slower at first, but you earn double.
